Respiratory system
The respiratory system is in direct contact with the external environment, allowing inhalation of organic or inorganic dust, microorganisms, protein allergens, harmful gases, and other substances into the lungs, thereby triggering a variety of respiratory diseases. Factors such as smoking, air pollution, inhalation of various physical, chemical and biological agents, and population aging have led to a significant increase in the incidence of respiratory diseases including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchial asthma, as well as a rising prevalence of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis and other conditions.
