Sodium Laurate-induced Thromboangiitis Obliterans (TAO) Model
Sodium Laurate-induced Thromboangiitis Obliterans (TAO) Model
Background
Vasculitis is a chronic, non-suppurative, occlusive disease of arteries and veins, also known as \"total thrombangiitis obliterans\". It represents an allergic inflammatory lesion occurring in blood vessels and is not associated with bacterial infection. The establishment of a rat model of vasculitis is of great significance for the subsequent development of therapeutic drugs for vasculitis.
Materials and methods
Wistar rats (male, weighing 280–320 g)
Modeling method: The proximal end of the femoral artery was clamped, and sodium laurate solution was injected into the distal end. The model was successfully established 2 weeks later.
Evaluation indicators: lower limb ischemia rate, HE staining
