Hyperthyroidism model
Hyperthyroidism model
Background
Hyperthyroidism, or hyperthyroidism for short, is a very common clinical endocrine disease.
In patients with hyperthyroidism, increased thyroid hormone secretion caused by the thyroid gland itself or various other factors enters the systemic circulation, acting on various tissues and organs throughout the body, leading to hypermetabolism and increased excitability of multiple systems.
Intragastric administration of Euthyrox is used to establish a hyperthyroidism model in rats by exogenously elevating thyroid hormone levels in the body.
Materials and methods
SD rats (male, 6–8 weeks old)
Modeling method: Euthyrox (levothyroxine sodium tablets) was administered by continuous gavage for 21 days to establish a hyperthyroidism model.
Evaluation indicators: Serum ELISA, HE staining
