High-fat diet-induced rabbit obesity model

Background
Obesity results from disorders of the body’s energy metabolism, and its exact pathogenesis remains not fully understood. It is currently believed to be related to genetics, abnormalities of the central nervous system, endocrine dysfunction, metabolic factors, nutritional imbalance, as well as environmental factors. Nutritional obesity is one type of obesity. In recent years, numerous studies have been reported on animal models of diet-induced obesity.
Materials and methods

Modeling method: Continuous feeding with a high-fat diet and monitoring of body weight to establish an obesity model.
Evaluation indicators: Sirius red staining, WGA staining
Test and verify

Sirius Red staining of myocardial tissue

WGA staining of myocardial tissue
