RSV-induced asthma model
RSV-induced asthma model
Background
Childhood asthma is closely associated with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Relevant studies have shown that more than 85% of childhood asthma cases are linked to RSV infection. After human infection with RSV, pulmonary antigen-presenting cells capture viral antigens and trigger the activation of dendritic cells. Meanwhile, altered autophagic function of dendritic cells impairs their antigen presentation capacity, further regulating the secretion of inflammatory factors by T cells and ultimately inducing the onset of asthma.
