MOG₃₅₋₅₅ combined with pertussis toxin-induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) model

Background
Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein (MOG) is a glycoprotein exclusively distributed on the myelin sheath membrane and the surface of oligodendrocytes. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and accounts for only 0.01%–0.05% of total myelin protein. MOG possesses strong immunogenicity and is capable of inducing the production of MOG‑specific T lymphocytes. It can be used to establish a relapsing non‑remitting experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) model, and its underlying pathogenesis is closely correlated with the cellular and humoral immune responses of multiple sclerosis (MS).
Materials and methods
C57BL/6 mice (female, 8–10 weeks old, approximately 20 g)
Modeling method: MOG35-55 emulsion was subcutaneously injected into the back, followed by intraperitoneal injection of pertussis toxin. A second intraperitoneal injection of pertussis toxin was administered 48 hours later. On the 7th day, booster immunization was performed by re-injecting MOG35-55 emulsion subcutaneously on the back.
Evaluation indexes: HE staining, LFB staining
