Calcipotriol-induced atopic dermatitis model

Background
In recent years, studies have shown that topical application of MC903 can induce atopic dermatitis-like syndrome in mice. Meanwhile, MC903 can upregulate the expression of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) via the vitamin D receptor (VDR) in epithelial keratinocytes. TSLP is an epithelial cell-derived cytokine that plays a critical role in initiating and promoting Th2 cell-mediated allergic inflammation. Therefore, studies on atopic dermatitis based on TSLP are of great significance.
Materials and methods
BALB/c mice (male, approximately 6–8 weeks old, weighing 18–20 g)

Modeling method: The calcipotriol working solution was applied to the back of the neck and ears once daily. The atopic dermatitis model was successfully established after 14 days.

Evaluation indicators: dermatitis score on the dorsal ear, mast cell count, HE staining
Test and verify

Dermatitis score of the dorsal ear

Mast cell count (ear, skin)

HE staining and scoring (ear, skin)
